We're going over to WDW saturday and I wanted to make a PS for lunch ( it's a b-day present to myself). I'm thinking at either Garden Grill in Epcot or at Hollywood and Vine at MGM. I want a nice restaurant so I'm not sure if GG works for that but I'm pretty sure H&V does. I wanted a character atmosphere for DD. My only concerns are the menus. I have looked around and I haven't found a complete menu for either restaurant. I'm just picturing us sitting in a place that's nice and then chip and dale are great but the plates just sit there untouched. That would be disasterous.

Thought about saying the heck with it and just go to Mama Melrose and have a pizza.

Any thoughts or suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Did you look at wdwig.com ? She has menus up and those two are all you can eat. H&V is buffet style and GG is family style.

I think if you haven't checked out Deb's site you should, I think her menus are pretty complete, including prices.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Pammy

Correct me if I'm wrong but
H&V is a buffet style like Crystal Palace?
G&G would be like Harbour House?

Is that fair to say?
Yep, I checked out Deb's site I was just thinking that the menu choices were not complete. Hopeing I should say :)

I wanted a Character lunch with more of a full service sit down atmosphere. Is there such a thing?

Thanks a bunch

Both have good meals, but we felt that the character interaction at Hollywood and Vine was much better.. also the atmosphere was much more lively.

I would definitely choose Hollywood and Vine... go early, around 11:30 before it gets crowded!

gonedisney, GG is served family style like Liberty Tree Tavern. They bring a bowl or plate of stuff to the table and you put what you want on your plate. Hope this helps.

We were at the character breakfast at Hollywood and Vine last June and it was really great. There is plenty to choose from since it's a buffet. I understand that if you get a late breakfast pos that they allow you to also eat off the lunch items being set up as they switch from breakfast to lunch. We are going to try this on our next trip.
The characters at H&V are wonderful. Every 20-30 minutes or so Minnie and Goofy get together and dance. They both look great in their outfits and it's a lot of fun watching them dance.
Definitely try it. Don't think you will be disappointed in any way.
