But, check out
http://mousesavers.com/. They keep track of all of the discounts that are currently available at the resorts, car rentals, etc. Just follow her links. Of course, it will be cheaper to go during "value season". Right now there is a code for the month of August (see Mousesaver's site), in which the Pop Century is $74/night.
If you think you are going to make it back more than once in a 12 month period, you may want to look at the cost of an annual park pass. Sometimes, you can get a discounted room rate (there are not guarantees)
I have always found it cheaper to book each part of the trip separately. I do my own air, tickets, room, and limo. If you take a towncar from the Orlando airport, you can request a grocery stop before you get to the resort. We are a family of 4 and always eat breakfast in the room. This really saves us a lot of $$. With my kids being 8, they still need downtime so we sometimes even eat lunch in the rooms. I even pack food in our carry on suitcase. Cereal here is only $2.00 to $2.50/box - cheaper for me to take. We take snacks for our room and to carry in our fanny packs in the park. You can view menus at
http://allearsnet.com/. You can do a little homework on the Q & C vouchers. There is a whole link on top of the "Budget Board" that tells about how to use them at the various restaurants.
If you are not too keen on joining a club to get the vouchers, you can always use the DisAuctions link - again a post near the top of the Budget Board, to bid on some. You just have to keep your eyes open.
Lastly, I am not an airfare guru - but for us Southwest out of Providence is what we use. I am not familiar with the airlines that fly out of your area, but I would check the website of your airport - get a list of the airlines and then check the airline site directly.
Well, again. nothing earth shattering, but hopefully this will give you a start. Oh, one more - one of the Boards here is a DVC Rental board. You may be able to get a nice place at one of the Home Away From Home resorts - (see Mousesavers for a list of those resorts). I know there are some very nice people that rent their points, rather than lose them.
Good luck.
