I desperately need help burning my pictures onto disc. I have several folders that have too many pictures in them and theres not enough room on the disc. Is there a way to split them up into different folders??? If so, can someone please tell me how to do this??

Thanks so much!!!

The easiest way would be to create 2 new folders inside of the current folder. For instance, go into the folder so that you can see your pictures. Then click on "New Folder" or it may be in an "Organize" tab and then "New Folder". Label the "New Folder" something that makes sense to you. "Disc 1" or something like that. Then dump the amount of pictures into this folder until you have enough to fill the disc. Keep doing this until you have enough folders for all of your pictures in the folder.

This is just 1 of many ways that it can be done.

I hope this helps!

How do I dump the pictures into the new folder??

More than 1 way to accomplish this. 1) Take each individual picture and bring it over and "into" the folder. 2) Click on a picture and then holding "ctrl" click on the rest of them. After you get a bunch "highlighted", drag and dump them into the folder. 3) Instead of having the view on icons change it to list. Then just scroll down the amount of pictures you want and drag them into the folder.

Instead of using CD-Roms, try using DVD's as they hold a lot more. Just be sure you computer can burn dvds, and also check to see if there is a + or - in it.

I have a similar question. My old computer I got in 2004 came with a program built in that would burn your files to disc. You just dragged your files to that spot, then hit the button and it did the rest. The part I loved was that it didn't all have to fit on a single disc. It would tell you how many discs you would need and pop open for you to change discs when needed.

Alas, that program died recently with my last computer. I know there's a "burn" function on Windows 7, but it seems to only do what will fit on 1 disc. Anybody know of a program that will let me change discs in the middle?
