My best friend want to go to Disneyland with her family and I'm trying to find the best deal for her. The dates are Oct 10-19. She could leave Oct 10/11 and return on the 18/19. I think booking the flight thru Air Canada is the cheapest for the 4 of them ($1700). YYC-LAX

Now I'm looking at hotels. The HoJo is booked. What other neighbour hotel would you recommend?

Do think it would be better to book a whole package deal? They are renting a car for the whole time so driving to the park won't be a problem if we can get a nice hotel close. Are other Canadians finding that booking is CAD is better than USD right now?

Thanks :)

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn, it's right next door to the HOJO and it was great! I think the pool might be in the middle of a rehab for the dates you are looking at. I'm planning on staying there again in NOV if I can get a rate under $100/night.

most of the hotels are around Disneyland and it is a 5 minute walk to the parks. Not sure why they would want tp rent a car unless they are going elsewhere.

We leave in 6 days :cool1: for California and Disneyland. We have stayed at 4 different hotels in our last 4 trips. Hojo's was first it was great, then we stayed at the Residence Inn Maingate (staying there again this time) we love it as you get a full breakfast included and it's a suit hotel so you get a full kitchen and what not, then we stayed at the Remada Maingate it's a typical hotel we picked it because of the pool (it was July when we went) then the last hotel we stayed at was the Sharaton Park it was delux a bit farther of a walk like the RI but we too the ART and it was fine.

DL is not like WDW where you really need to drive to the park most of the hotels are within walking distance if not there is the ART which would be cheaper than parking everyday. But a car is great if you want to get some shopping done or a trip in to LA or the beach. We didn't rent a car last time and we regretted it we ended up renting one for 2 days so that we could do some shopping on our non Disneyland days. Anyways hope they enjoy their trip.

Every fall the three disney hotels offer some sort of deal with a 3rd or 4th night free. You may want to check that out also. You will only need a rental car if you plan on exploring outside of the parks. I would check the flight centre as they consistently have great package deals.

We were in DL for two weeks in April and loved every minute. We rented a car for the whole time and personally I loved having a car and my friends will be the same way as they will want to go Universal and Sea World too.

Still searching different sites for some deals.
