Hello All
File this under nothing is easy...
My family (2 adults and a 10 yr old) bought Seasonal Annual passes August 2018. We live in New England so figured it would just be that one August trip.
Then this weekend I find some realitively inexpensive airfare and decide a long weekend trip would make a great Xmas present for my dad and the 10 yr old (both love HP).
Before buying plane tix I check website re blackouts and nothing listed for Feb. I then call Universal and they say my Seasonal Annual passes are good on Feb 1 & 2. So I buy the non-refundable airfare.
Tonight I call re hotel reservations and find out Rock the Universe is Feb 1 & 2. Hotel reservation person tells me Rock the Universe isn't a concert with black out dates. I hang up and call back ticket reservation people. That woman says can't use Seasonal Pass at Universal on Rock the Universe Feb 1 & 2. I say I'm getting conflicting info - so she puts me on hold to "double check"
I'm then connected to a team leader - Logan. He says Rock the Universe is not considered a concert because it's a hard ticketed event so my Seasonal Annual Pass will be okay at Universal Studios Feb 1 & 2.
I'm still pretty nervous though cause I already bought the non-refundable airline tickets...
So - here's my questions:
1: Do you think my Seasonal Annual pass will be blocked out of Universal Studios during Rock the Universe on Feb 1 & 2?
2: if my Seasonal Annual pass IS blocked out - can I upgrade to a Power Annual Pass (approx $50 per person) to avoid the concert blackout dates?
3: Would a Power Annual Pass upgrade work to get over the concert blackouts or do I have to upgrade to a Preferred Annual pass (approx $90 a person)
ANY help or guidance is appreciated!! I am really anxious and nervous about this whole blackout date thing.
Thank you!! Sorry for the long post.
