Very long story - but DH and I have bid on rooms that we don't want and JUST realized that if we cancel our car reservation, for $100 more than what we were already spending we can stay ON SITE!!!!! Okay, at one of the budgets onsite, but, onsite none-the-less. Hotels.com has All Star Movies for $136 and POP for $124. Which one do you all recommend?

We're going to use ME for transportation - can we get to downtown disney w/o a car if we're onsite?

You get to downtown disney w/o a car just take the disney bus to DTD right from your hotel just like you would to any of the parks!!! :goodvibes

stayed at pop....for the amount of time my family of 4 stayed in the room, this resort was great. we were out at 10am and didn't return till 10pm each night. if you plan on spending more time at the resort, the rooms at the value are quite small. The food court was great for a quick breakfast and a late night snack.

Those are the same rates you will get on the Disney web site for preferred for around Feb 10. Both hotels are great, I always stay at Pop because it's newer but I hear that they have just re-done the rooms at Music.

we orginally were slated to saty at POR for our 3/30-4/6 trip but we did the math and for less money could upgrade to 2more nights if we stayed at ASMU, so we are no staying 3/30-4/8 I think the values look great, they seem a little more busy but distance to the main pool food areas seems less of a walk from the non preferred buildings than at the mods, and the values have more over the top disney type decor, i am looking forward to it,
have a great vacation you will love being on site i am sure:yay:

pop... movies is not worth an extra $10 a night. Rooms and services are pretty much the exact same.

I just booked POP. I chose POP because it was newer, I heard a lot of good things about it and because the bus for POP only stops at POP unlike at the other All Star resorts where one bus makes stop at movies, music and sports. (At least that's what I have heard from others who have gone in the past)

Thank you all for your help - I so appreciate everyone's kindness! I'm off to book!
