ducklite] I have a question about that, someone pmmed me and said that the ride in the back is rougher than over the wings?

I've taken hundreds of flights and don't find much difference anywhere in teh plane.

I had not planned on riding in the back unless have too.I dont believe getting ourselves situated would take any longer than anyone else to be honest. We have not booked a seat for the new baby yet as WDW travel wouldnt do it without a name and actual birthdate (their rules they said) and I was going to book a seperate seat on our own, but I dont want us to have to be in 2 seperate rows if possible, so I probably wont now.....we will just gate check the infant seat and check DD seat as she will be close to 40 lbs by then as she is already 36 inches and 35 lbs now.

thanks for your help!

I fly a lot of the time, and parents with young kids are 99.9% of the time the hold up in getting off the plane. Last weekend there was no one left in the aisle all the way up to the front of the plane, the people in row 28 were still trying to gather themsleves, and blocking everyone else in teh process. That's not an isolated incident. You have carryon's and kids to wrangle down the aisle, perhaps sleeping kids so no one to take things out of the overhead, and a two year old who decides half way down she wants to stop and look out the window in another row, etc. It's not a bash against parents, it's just common sense. You have less hands because they are full of kids, so it takes longer to get situated and get off the plane.

Plus you will be much closer to the restroom. That in itself is huge--you'll be able to tell if it's vacant or not before walking all the way down the aisle then having to stand around waiting for it to open.

Other Posters are correct there really isn't any skycaps at SBN. I am flying out of SBN tuesday with DD5, not to WDW but to Naples. I live in Elkhart and have flown out of Chicago or Indy airports for cheaper flghts & when fliying with kids it just isn't worth it. You will love the ease of flying out of SBN but I have to tell you when you return the luggage comes out very slow-.

Any other questions just let me know

LOL- lurking, made me laugh! Btw-paper advertised NWA has $183 flights tr for NWA out of SBN now....ty for the congrats! We were happy about the trip win then 3 weeks later found out we were pregnant, definately changed our plans! WOuld have preferred to wait till the baby was a bit older as my OB doesnt want me to go being pregnant (am high risk) so we put it off as long as we could, trip has to be done by Dec 17th,2006.

Katiesmommy-Was the NWA airlines advertised in the Sunday South Bend Tribune? I have thought about buying the Sunday paper and seeing if there were any deals in it for travel out of SBN. Don't think we have ever flown NW out of that airport. Our last trip was in December and we were flying Delta and our scheduled plane was the one that came into the airport with the broken windshield, which you may have seen on the local news. THAT was not a fun day, and Delta handled the problem VERY BADLY. I will check out the NWA website and see if I can find anything on the $183 deal.

We have not really found any big difference in where we have sat in planes. If you are near the front, you can always choose to just stay seated once the plane lands and let everyone behind you exit before you if you are afraid you may take a bit longer to gather your belongings and kids ready to get off the plane.

I have been to Disney 6 months pregnant before, so would much rather go like you have to, after the baby has been born. I was like you must be, it was my second baby, and even though I was only six months along, I looked like I was 11-12 months pregnant and must have been carrying twin elephants. We are going in December also, the 9-20th, but are going down for a cruise first, then 3 days outside of Disney. I am in the planning stages right now, which for me is half the fun of the entire trip. Then again, I think it would be wonderful to let Disney do it all for you like you get to do!!!
