I’m planning our first split Disney/US/IOA trip for the week before Thanksgiving. We are arriving at Disney on Saturday 11/15, checking out of Disney on Wednesday 11/19 and heading over to Royal Pacific where we will stay until Saturday 11/22.
My tentative plan for the Universal portion is as follows:
*Weds 11/19 - arrive at Royal Pacific around 3-4pm. Spend the evening at City Walk.
*Thurs 11/20 – IOA all day with early admission for WWoHP
*Fri 11/21 – Universal Studios all day
*Sat 11/22 – revisit our favorite attractions in both parks and check out anything we missed. Leave around 4pm for the airport.
Where’s the best time to add in some pool time? I’d prefer not to go to the pool on Saturday since we will be checking out and flying home. It appears the parks will be open 9am-7pm based on last year’s calendar, so would it be hard to do mid-day breaks like we do at Disney? Are these parks big enough where it’s difficult to see everything in one day? Or is it safe to say we could finish the day around 2-3pm like we do at AK? If the latter, then that would be ideal to go back to the pool for late afternoon. FWIW, we are two adults in our late 20s. No kids.
The other option is to go to Universal Studios for a few hours on Wednesday when we arrive, so then we have less to do on Friday morning. This would give us most of Friday afternoon for the pool.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
