Need Help about which is ticket is better to upgrade???

Okay Disers I need some help we are planning a trip to the world Sept 11-22 and am trying to figure out what ticket to upgrade. See we have each done and received our GAD and we are planning on staying at Pop and adding a 1 day base ticket to so we will qualify for free dinning. So my question is do I upgrade the 1 day base ticket from the hotel deal to 9 day PH ticket and then use the GAD ticket for our 10th day in the park? Or do I use the 1 day base ticket then using the GAD ticket the next day and add the 8 PH tickets to it so that in the end we end up with 9 PH days and 1 base day? Thanks

I'd say just upgrade the GAD ticket, because it will expire at the end of the year, to a 10 day ticket.
At check in, have them seperate your ticket from room key card, and hang onto your one day base tickets to use another time. When you won't be purchasing tickets with a package.

Okay that makes sense but will that still allow us to get Free dinning? Also do you know how much it would be to upgrade the GAD into a 10 PH tickets? We are two adults and (1) 9 year old. Thanks

Upgrade the GAD voucher since it expires December 15. Hold onto the one day tickets that you purchase with your package, but do not use them. Save them for another trip, when you can upgrade them to the number of days that you need.

You will receive a credit of $79 for the adult GAD vouchers and $68 (I think) for the child voucher. An adult 10-day PH is 314.18, so your out of pocket cost will be 235.18 for each adult ticket. The child's ticket is 279.03, so your out of pocket cost would be 211.03.

The cost difference between a 9-day PH and a 10-day PH is $3 per ticket, which is why you don't want to buy a 9-day PH and use the package ticket for your tenth day.

You have to purchase at least a one day ticket for free dining (assuming this year works as previous years have), but you don't have to USE that ticket on that trip.
