Hi
A couple weeks ago, DM had her septic tank filled with dirt and hooked up to the city sewer system. Ok, we have had some rain and the hole that was covered up where the septic tank is has sunken in. She has called the septic company for almost a week and no one has called her back. We have 2 dogs and my DD7 could fall in it. I am going to call tomorrow or better yet go by there in person. My question: has this happened to you? If so, did the people who covered it up come back out? If I called the city inspector who had to come out before they covered all things back up, would he make them cover it up with more dirt? Thanks in advance.
Well, I called Codes and Compliances and left a message about my dilemma, I then called the septic tank company that did the work 1 last time and informed them that I had called C&C and the other neighbors that still had septic tanks I would tell them to stay away from their company since they were so unprofessional not to do the job right the first time and then not call DM and myself back after we left messages. So later that day, the receptionist from the septic tank called and you would think someone peed in her cornflakes with her aggravated attitude. She said they would be out the next day to come refill the hole. She didn't say sorry for the inconvience or sorry no one called, so I told her that whoever picks up the messages needs to learn how to return phone calls especially after all the money they charged. I know it wasn't her fault that they didn't do it right, but good customer service means if your company messed up even if it wasn't you, needs to apologize.
They came the next mornimg and filled in the hole and I asked them to fill it in and then leave some extra dirt on top instead of trying to make it even with the rest of the ground, which they had done last time.
It took over a week and me telling them I called C&C for them to call back, another lack in customer service.

It's me, Lisa.
She is a smart cookie and very nice, too. I would worry, too, if you say it is a danger to your dogs and daughter and I know she is not one to exaggerate. I would be very mad if I hired someone to do something and didn't get back to me over a major concern like your's.
and see you soon!
