Are there any restraunts that will help with a gluten free diet, my friends are allergic to wheat. any information will help!

Each of the CS should have a "book" which lists all the ingredients. While not every CS might be able to accomidate you, you'll at least be able to know what not to order!!

You should get in charge with Brenda Bennett, or someone at food services. Each CS restaurant will give you the ingredients in the food. However, someone at food services can get you the list of which CS restaurants carry GF mac and cheese, GF pizza, GF hot dog buns and rolls, GF cookies and brownies and treats. There is atleast one CS in each park that will have these things on hand all of the time. Good luck...you should have no problems, especially if you are prepared!

Counter service meals are doable, though a little painful and time consuming - not all options will be available, but I'm always able to get a burger on a GF bun. They will not guarentee the integrity of fries. If you mention GF, you will get the allergy firedrill - which for me is annoying since I can tolerate small amounts of gluten - I'd rather make my own decisions on french fries and just get a GF bun.

You should contact Brenda Bennett she has been very helpful to us in the past. We do prefer TS but have had good luck with CS. Brenda can give you a list of the items that are gluten free. Though always double check at the location because things change all the time.

I would suggest going to the disABILITIES Forum and look at Post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs. There is a large section in that post dealing with special dietary needs, as well as many related links. You can get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs by following the link in my signature.

This is a very common topic of discussion in the disABILITIES Forum.

I can't remember where I read the article now but it was by a mother who never thought she'd like Disney period but then also thought she'd have to bring all special foods for her child. She found a list before she went (sorry, don't remember where) that told where and what types of food would be perfect. She said it was the first vacation she'd ever had that she didn't have to worry and she loved it. They now go about twice a year it appears. Hopefully you will be able to find a list for CS and she said for TS, the chef came to the table and they went above and beyond in their service and choices. Good luck!
