fri-leaving will be eating in the room.

I am trying to stay flexable but want to have an adr for sun night when we get there I will update what park we are going to soon. I am thinking of animal kingdom for the first morning and then exploring the boardwalk. Any ideas

I am thinking maybe lunch at RC and dinner at spoodles.

Do you have children? If so, what ages? I assume you are looking for a non-park restaurant.

RC is an interesting place for children and it kept mine entertained. However, it is very loud and I wasn't crazy about the food. It was ok, and is a decent first day option and would certainly get the kids in the mood. Downtown Disney is a lot of fun and is a good non-park option.

We also had dinner at Spoodles on our first night. We enjoyed the food, but once again, it was loud. However, with my family, it is nice to have a little noise to cover the commotion at our table. The kids really enjoyed walking the boardwalk before and after dinner.

You may also want to consider a meal at one of the monorail resorts. My children consider the monorail to be an attraction and love riding it through the resorts and Epcot.

I have 3 children ds(12) ds (5)dd(8)
I am not sure if we are going to the park or not if we do it will probably be ak and an early evening so that we will have the rest of the day to explore. I was thinking the same thing about the noise covering commotion :rotfl2:

Because like you I wanted to explore the Boardwalk, our first night we are going to Beaches & Cream for burgers and ice cream. I picked this because it's one of the few places that won't take ADRs. I figure this way we won't have to worry about our plane landing late or check in taking too long. I'd be totally stressed out if I had an ADR and something happened to prolong us arriving.
After that, we're going to stroll around the Boardwalk.

I ended up with these scheduled this morning

sun- 6:50 spoodles after a day at ak
mon- 12:00 Le Cellier and a late dinner at tangerine cafe illuminations
tues- mk no adr's
wed- fantasmic package with brown derby at 4:20
thur- Ltt at 4:00 and p&P party
