We get to make our ADRs in 10 days and thought we may give Boatwright's a whirl some evening. Never see much on the Dis about this place. Anyone have any postives or negatives. We were looking at the prime rib.

It's true there is very little posted about Boatwrights Hall.
My sis and I stayed at POR june of 2010 and ate there twice.
The first time we were wet and cold (believe it or not-cold!)
The Corn and Crab soup was very delicious and welcome. We had Crayfish bites and Jambalaya. I don't know, it just all seemed so cosy and southern. The decor is nice (we were near the fireplace) The cornbread they bring is yummy. Our server was polite and efficient, not overly friendly but did his job and answered our questions. Then there's the whole ambiance of POR. The water nearby is so nice, the carriage ride or boat ride. I can hardly wait to go back.
I hope you'll try it.
It looks as though you've stayed at POFQ so many times, I'm surprised you haven't.:thumbsup2

We have been to Boatwrights several times...but only for breakfast. (when they used to serve breakfast.) Thanks for the info. We actually thought it would be a nice stroll down the river for a casual supper.

We had an awful experience there.. The food was NOT good and the service was even worse.. This was back in 2008. I am in the restaurant business, so I tend to be very forgiving knowing that people can have an off night.. Thsi wasn't the case this night.. With so many other choices I would go somewhere else.. I would even take the counter service at POFQ over Boatwrights.. JMO

We had dinner at Boatwright's last November and were pleasantly surprised! Got a last minute reservation because we were too wiped out to return to Epcot one night for our ADR at La Hacienda. Nice walk along the river from POFQ to POR...good service, yummy martinis to start; DD and I had the beef medallions with "mac and cheese"; DH had prime rib (I think); DGD had pork chop, they were all very good. Lovely cornbread and very, very good pecan pie for dessert. The only problem I had was the noise level was pretty bad, we were seated at 8:30 and the entertainer and audience at POR was in full LOUD mode! Next time I'll get an earlier ADR. I wouldn't knock myself out to eat there again, but it was a decent alternative if you're not feeling like dinner at a park or another resort. I ended up having pecan pie for breakfast the next morning because I was way too stuffed to actually have it for dessert.

We stay at POR every year and eat at Boatwrights at least once every time- always had good food and good service- I would try it out- the crawfish bites, pecan pie, cornbread and jambalya (sp!) are favs of ours.
