Need expert advice...can I hop a launch at IG and get straight to MGM?

I think I can do this ???
I want to have dinner in Epcot and then go over to MGM to see Fantasmic. Can I get a launch from International Gateway right to MGM? The launches stop at YBC + BW then on to MGM right? Or will I have to get off the Epcot launch at BW and wait for the MGM launch to get there?

What kind of time frame do you think I am looking at? An hour from IG till I get to MGM gates?

The boat stops at the Boardwalk, then the Yacht/Beach, then the Swan/Dolphin - before going to MGM. It will take about 25-30 minutes.

The boats go from Epcot to BW, YC, Swan & Dolphin, then the Studios. It takes between 25-45 minutes for the trip depending on loading times, plus any wait time you have at the dock. It would be faster to either walk the whole way, or boat to BW and walk from there.

You can get onboard a boat at the IG and go all the way to MGM. The boat will make stops at the BW, Y&BC, and SW/DoPH. We've never had to get off at any of those stops to change boats. I don't think the ride will take you an hours. Maybe if you just miss a boat and half to wait a while for the next one, but the ride itself is less than a half an hour - I think

Sure you can do it. All the boats make the round trip now. Once the boat leaves the dock at the Intl Gateway, it's a 30 to 35 minute trip. The boat stops at the Boardwalk; Yacht and Beach; Swan and Dolphin; then returns via the same stops--in reverse order naturally.

It takes awhile with all those stops. What we usually do is walk to the Swan/Dolphin Dock & catch the MGM Launch from there. S/D is the last resort stop before going to MGM.

I have a breakfast ADR at Cape May at the BC and we are going to MGM after, would it be quicker to take a boat over to MGM or hop a bus at BC to MGM?

If memory serves..........There is no Bus from YBC to MGM.

We'll be hopping from Epcot to MGM on our trip next week - I was thinking of just taking the bus, but would walking or taking the boat be quicker/easier? What about getting back in the evening for Illuminations? Seems that taking the boat at that time would certainly make more sense since we'll want to be in the WS anyway.......hmmmm......never thought about doing it that way. I just assumed the bus was best.......

If you plan to be in WS anyway then taking the bus is probably not your best option. The Launch or "Friendship Boats" will let you off at International Gateway which is right between the UK and France. Pop right next door to Canada and you have a great view of the other 10 countries for Illuminations.

The bus option will A - probably take longer and B - certainly require more walking. Just build in enough time to find / hold a spot before the show starts
