Need easy dinner ideas for tomorrow.

bakery or frozen poundcake--you can rinse off some frozen strawberries or raspberries--shake that colander!--& put on the top--fancy, fancy!

tinting cocoanut--put cocoanut in clean, lidded jar or plastic freezer bag--add 2 drops of food coloring--shake--ta da!

poppyseed dressing might be found in specialty salad dressings

you could make the good ol' green bean casserole~

Mashed Yams
2 big cans of tinned yams--drain, reserving juice
mash the yams
add some orange juice, or orange flavoring & enough reserved juice--do not get it sloppy juicy!
tsp of cinnamon or allspice
couple Tblspns of whole milk, 1/2 & 1/2 or evaporated milk
1/4 cup of brown or regular sugar

Mix all/ Put into greased/buttered 2 qt casserole dish top with marshmellows. Heat up at about 325 degrees for 25 minutes
There are a million recipes for this--leave off the marshmellows, top with plain cocoanut. Add tinned, DRAINED, diced pineapple to yam mix. Throw in a mashed banana--whatever.

Make up some lovely fruity coladas or margaritas, virgin or loaded, using frozen mixes. add some fruit wedges

My boss never showed up at 10 pm, so I ended up working until 7 AM (16 hour shift), went home, went to sleep, then work up for my next shift and 3 pm. We had KFC and I promised dear Partner a Easter Dinner this weekend. I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks for asking.

It was just the hotel job, lots of people check-in in the middle of the night, or demand breakfast early

Dear Partner got regular chicken, hot wings (too hot for me), mashed potatoes, coleslaw, buscuits and mac & cheese, I tossed some cookies in the oven and made it a meal.

But I am pretty excited about our late easter dinner. Dear SO even went and got most of the groceries all by herself.

Well, I'm sure you were a great help to weary travelers!
