bakery or frozen poundcake--you can rinse off some frozen strawberries or raspberries--shake that colander!--& put on the top--fancy, fancy!
tinting cocoanut--put cocoanut in clean, lidded jar or plastic freezer bag--add 2 drops of food coloring--shake--ta da!
poppyseed dressing might be found in specialty salad dressings
you could make the good ol' green bean casserole~
Mashed Yams
2 big cans of tinned yams--drain, reserving juice
mash the yams
add some orange juice, or orange flavoring & enough reserved juice--do not get it sloppy juicy!
tsp of cinnamon or allspice
couple Tblspns of whole milk, 1/2 & 1/2 or evaporated milk
1/4 cup of brown or regular sugar
Mix all/ Put into greased/buttered 2 qt casserole dish top with marshmellows. Heat up at about 325 degrees for 25 minutes
There are a million recipes for this--leave off the marshmellows, top with plain cocoanut. Add tinned, DRAINED, diced pineapple to yam mix. Throw in a mashed banana--whatever.
Make up some lovely fruity coladas or margaritas, virgin or loaded, using frozen mixes. add some fruit wedges
