need DVC golf info please

I read the member guidebook info online, but DH and I are not golfers, and we're bringing the whole family (some golfers) to OKW next month-- if there is a better place to put this question, please bump it or send a link-- thanks!
Here are the questions:
Can we reserve tee times for them? If so, how much is it without the golf membership-- I understand DH has to play to get the DVC rate, in addition to buying the membership thing, and he doesn't want to "waste a day" (did I mention I love that man?).
Since we're staying at OKW, are there any deals on tee times if you're staying there? Thanks for the help!

Here's a link- your guests would be entitled to the same rates and reservation times as any WDW hotel guest- but as you said no DVC discount

I think there is an AP discount if they happen to have those.

If they have transport, and baulk at paying WDW course prices there are LOADS of courses in the area that offer great golf and much cheaper rates. I've found the best way to get value for money golf is by calling "lastminutegolf" the night before you plan to play. They act as a clearing agent, after the pro shops close for courses in the area that have availability. I would also advise going to one of the many golf outlets/shops in the area and picking up a local "golf guide" magazine that are free to take. It will contain maps, locations, phone numbers and discount coupons for many of the courses. Courses I'd recommend are Southern Dunes, Orange County National and Falcon's fire. SD is about a 30-40 minutes drive from WDW, OCN 15-20 minutes, FF is 5 minutes away along Osceola parkway. Basically the further they are prepared to drive, the cheaper the round will be.
