Brothers family 4 adults, 1 child would like to stay at one of the resort hotels. He would like to get an AP but does not know if their are any advantages($$) in booking if you are an AP holder. He would like to stay at the GC 8/15/2009-8/22/2009 would entertain other ideas.
Do you still get MM each day in 2009. Anyother help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks and Happy New Year,

Jack

Jack,

I have looked at many deals for the CGH,PPH and DLH.
The AP rates have always been the best.

August is a ways away and you can not be sure of anything. AP discouts rates are only available through March right now. August is a prime time, so you may or may not get a deal. It is still lower than the rack rate.

MM are Tues, thrus, Sat, Sun for guests of the resorts. Only one person would need an AP to get the room rates. Also the deluxe AP will get you the discounts and is over $100.00 less then the Premium. The deluxe AP does have blackout days in August. I have purchased the AP and then used the bar code to bookthe room right away.
One of the best perks is entering CA through the GCH, As a guest of the resorts at 10AM, and walking onto TSMMM.

Good luck!

Thanks Konagal, looking to see if anyone will look up the current rates.

I do not see any calender for any rates past March. It seems the calenders are about 4 months out. And the real deals are sometimes less than that. Maybe someone else would have better luck.

What I have found is the AP rate when the deals are listed is about the best. That includes using DVC points. Some others may have better luck with that, too.

You're going to have to wait until June-ish to find out if there are AP rates for August, I estimate.

They can always change the MM thing for resort guests, but they've been doing it for awhile now and are still doing it.

The booking policy is that you pay one night's rate and then the rest is charged after your stay, and you can change your booking. So they could book something now, pay that deposit, and if a good AP rate comes out later they can change it, and just buy an AP when they check in.
