Need dining suggestion for our AK day!

We are doing the regular dining plan... I am trying to decide whether we should use our table service for an early lunch at Yak & Yeti or eat elsewhere after the park closes (DTD or at a restaurant in a Disney resort).

We would like a nice meal, and don't mind doing counter service in AK for lunch if Yak & Yeti isn't that great...

What do you think?

You can do Y&Y counter service. My recommendation would be to hop on the bus to AKL and have dinner at Sanaa. The food is awesaome. It was, by far, one of our best meals last tip.

I love Yak & Yeti TS. We eat there every trip.

Tusker House has a fairly decent buffet. Far better than Sanaa in our experience.

We love to dine at Boma after a day at AK. It's a short bus ride away and one of the best buffets on property, IMHO. Enjoy!

We've done lunch at Yak & Yeti and enjoyed it very much. Great food and atmosphere. The fried wontons for dessert were especially yummy.

We ate at Yak & Yeti TS in December and loved it! My bff had the chicken lo mein, I had the steak and shrimp combo and my son had chicken bites and fries. Definitely try it.

We enjoyed lunch at Yak&Yeti also! But going over to AKL for dinner at Boma would also be fun!

I'd say do CS at Flame Tree BBQ, then dinner at a resort. There are so many wonderful places to eat in the world and I say try them all!

Pick one of the AKL/AKV restaurants for an early dinner. You can also explore the AKL, which is beautiful, and see the animals. The only down-side to this plan, it that it's somewhat complicated to get back to your own resort after doing this. You might want to take a taxi, or take a bus from AKL to the park with EMH, then a bus back to your resort from there. DTD buses are terrible!

For lunch in AK, we recommend Flame Tree. We did NOT like Y&Y! (Could have had something to do with the tip of latex glove I discovered in my mouth as I ate - GAG, Blech!)

If you are going to do a big lunch I would go with Tusker House. If you are looking to do a big dinner I would just do counter service in the park for lunch and head to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and have Boma for dinner.
