I am looking into getting a new digital camera and thought this would be a great place to get suggestions. I know prices have come down a bit and would like to stay under $300 for a decent camera. Thanks in advance for your help!

(And thanks to taeja71 for the link to this forum!)

Easy to use and good picture quality. I am not an expert by any means, but I do take decent pictures.

Do you want something that can fit in your pocket? Do you want to have some manual controls?

The cannon S2 can be had for about $300 Take a look at that one at the sites already provided, and then give us some feed back on what you like dislike about it....

ETA Apparently the S3 can be had from Dell for $319, so you might want to look at that instead as it is the newer model.

Dell has crummy ratings for their online store... I'd only buy there in an emergency. (And probably not even then!)

This is neither a recommendation for or against Dell, but I've ordered several computers and a camcorder from them in the past and never had a problem.

Computers I have ordered 2 from dell, always recieved quiker than expected.

I did order the first Canon Digital Rebel from them on one of those crazy coupon deals, first they made me wait about 2 weeks b4 canceling the order.

For a good P&S under $300 I would look at the Nikon Coolpix series. These are great cameras.
