I knew I should not have looked....

but I did! I checked hotelkingdom rates and they have the Radisson Resort Parkway for $55.90 a night and will upgrade you at no charge to the deluxe poolview room and it looks like a very beautiful place. I did a search and it comes out very favorable...I am frieking!!

The reason being...I have the Contemporary booked for my trip in Aug. and I am paying $154 including tax a night, which is a great rate for the Contemporary.

This is a $100 a night difference, but I want a really nice hotel. We are AP holders and visit Disney about 3 times a year. We are driving from New York so will have our car! Please help with any input, I REALLY don't know what to do! ...I knew I shouldn't of looked!

I think you need to decide what is going to be more important.

The price difference, the location- what you could do with the spare money?

Once you know what is most important to YOU, you'll be able to make the decision.

Good luck, and both rates are great!!!

As Flower suggested, look at your priorities, and if the cash savings is really important to you you can answer your own question. After a night off site, I personally would have paid whatever for a room on Disney, but I like the convienience and the Magic. Good luck with your decision and have a greaat vacation whichever you choose.

I could use this 55.90 a night at the Radisson. My family and I are going for a weekend trip (also in Aug.). How did you get this rate. Did you call with a code, go online, or was this some sort of special that they were running. Also, what was the upgrade that they offered?

Now for your question

I agree with everyone else. Depending on what you're looking for you should make the decision of were you will stay. Is money no issue (or would the extra money serve you better in some other way)? Is this the big family vacation (or just a little getaway)? For my family, this is just a weekend thing. We were going to be in Atlanta for a wedding and just decided to go to WDW since we would only be a few hours away and also had left over days from some tickets. We are planning a big vacation next year, so we don't mind scrimping this time. I hope this helps.

Thanks

Steph

Mary has a very favorable review of the Radisson on www.mousesavers.com You might want to read about the hotel there. The hotel is right outside the maingates of WDW. I've attended a conference next door (and will again in Oct) and it looks like a lovely property.

And I agree with the other posters. You need to decide what's most important to you this trip!!

Pixie dust!

You can ALWAYS save money staying offsite. You wanted to stay onsite, got a good rate on a good property. Unless something has changed with your finances stay with your original reservation.
