I'm class mom for my son's class, and we need some cute ideas for a craft. We don't want anything too messy or too time consuming. I saw a cute project involving stuffing popcorn into a glove, but I'm not sure if popcorn is OK for first graders.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I used to teach first grade and I did the popcorn hand - it was just ok...the popcorn can be a little messy and you will have to help to have it look good. I am helping with my 4 year old's preschool class and I am in charge of the craft. I am taking a picture of them in their costumes and printing it out, then they are making foam frames and sticking halloween foam stickers on to decorate. Then adding a magnet on the back. It's simple, fast, and easy. The time goes by so fast that day. Good luck

bats out of TP rollers, just need to glue on wings and googly eyes

You can make a Jack-o-Lantern using a paper plate and cut-out pieces of construction paper for the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. Kids can glue the pieces on the paper plate.
