need croc help!!

I am ready to purchase crocs for the whole family
We all tried them on at Dick's Sporting Goods so we would know what sizes to buy. The problem is this... I typically wear a 7 or 7.5 so I tried on the 6-7 crocs and my toes just barely touch the end. From what I have read your toes should not touch anywhere. The 8-9 size seemed very big. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do when ordering yours? Thanks in advance!!

I wear a 7.5 in most shoes and my Crocs are a perfect size 8. I have both Cayman and Mary Jane styles in 8 and find them perfect. I wondered if having so much extra space around my foot would bother me, but it doesn't.
