Need Cricut Advice

I bought one of the Aqua expressions at Walmart the day after Thanksgiving. I was excited to use it yesterday only to find out it doesn't cut right. It doesn't start and stop in the same place which means the images aren't connected and are odd shaped. I cut them on my moms and they worked. I tried resetting it, didn't work. I looked online and it looks like a quite a few people have had problems with the colored ones. Soooo... should I try to exchange it or return it and get one somewhere else???

Yikes! My colored one works just fine.

If I were you I would try and exchange it first. You will not find the BF price again until next year. (Yes, online they are around the same price, but then you have to pay shipping.) If they do not have colored ones left get the plain version.

The Walmart in Maryville (not the Alcoa one) still has the colored Expressions. They're marked at $198, and I don't know what the BF price was. But I bet you could switch the non-working one for one of those!

I bought one from Walmart on BF only to find it in my store a couple of weeks ago for $150 and they had a bunch of them left. They were stuck in the middle of the Garden Section.

I brought it back and asked for a price adjustment. They told me they would have to get it approved by management. I said "sounds fine with me, but if they say "No" I will just return it and rebuy it for the cheaper price." Makes no difference to me but I will get the difference in price one way or the other.

I guess I better open mine and try it out.

Contact PC Customer Service. Since its under warranty. they may just send you a new one and a box to send the old one back. I had that issue with mine years ago. It wouldnt cut circles, they came out ovals. and it was so LOUD. I called them, they sent a new one out, I repacked my old one and havent had any issues in the last 2 years.

$150 is awesome! I would get the adjustment or return and re-buy as well.

Thanks! I am going to call the walmarts around me and the one in Maryville to see if any still have the Agua one and if they do I will exchange it. I hope they do as I love the color and it matches my room. If that doesn't work out I will contact Provo Craft.

I thought I would post an update to this.

I went to exchange my Cricut at Walmart which was very easy. I got the new one home and it is having the same problem so I am taking it back tomorrow and getting my money back. A.C. Moore has an expression for around $220, I may go see if they have any left.

Yikes, sorry you are still having the problem. I have an aqua one and it works fine. Hopefully ACMoore has them for you, good luck.

Final Update: Took back the Aqua Cricut to Walmart and got my money back. Went to AC Moore and got a regular cricut with 4 carts and primary markers for $220. Took it home and it works great!!! Third times a charm!

glad you got on that works. I've been playing with my aqua one and it is working just fine. It seems to be noisier than my baby bug was.... so I'm going to keep playing with it to see what is up.

My second one was very noisy! I really liked the Aqua one but I think our Walmart must of gotten a bad batch. Others have had no problems, I just had back luck. I am going to decorate it with Vinyl and my mom is going to make it a cute cover, so it all worked out but I ended up having to pay more and didn't get a pretty color but at least it works.
