Need Creative Gift Givers

Hi all

I'm giving some restaurant gift cards to my child's preschool teachers (he's off to kindergarten!)

Does anyone have some creative ways to jazz these cards up instead of just sticking them in a card?

I'm also giving them a card with some personal sentiments.

How about getting to-go containers from the restaurant that the cards are to? Like if they are McDonalds you could get a clean burger box. Or if its a nicer restaurant you could get one of their styrofoam boxes. One time we gave SIL a gift package - gift certificates for dinner, a movie and popcorn. For the dinner we folded a napkin and taped it along with the gift card to a paper plate (also some plastic utensils) and then wrapped it. For the movie and popcorn we wrapped the gift cards up in a popcorn box.

You could give them a small potted plant, and stick the gift card in there using a card holder.

This is exactly how we give our giftcards. Its neat because they don't know exactly what the gift is right away! Whenever I ask for the to-go containers the people in the restaurant think it is a pretty clever idea as well!!
