My sisters and I decided for Christmas this year we'll do crafty gifts, instead of buying something. I'm looking for ideas that I might be able to do that are relatively simple. I cannot sew, but can cook/bake so food craft gifts really appeal to me. Any great ideas out there so some simple kind of craft that my sisters would love? They are New England girls so like the "country" theme.

I have a new digital camera, if anyone has any ideas that might involve pictures and if there's anyway to tie in a Disney theme - that would be great as my family knows I'm obsessed with WDW!

TIA!

You could make her Disney shaped character brown sugar smelling Christmas ornaments or even make your own ball ornaments with special gifts for each member of her family put into them. To keep the surprise going, you could buy a really small present-necklace, charms, charm braclet...and wrap it in a small little box, nicely gift wrapped and put it into the ball ornament. Then on Christmas day, they will have a special gift to open.

I second the gifts in a jar. My GF and I did it 2 years ago and it was a big hit with friends and family. We even gave them to our kids teachers. The cookies were very tasty.

I have received the gifts in a jar as Christmas gifts & really like them. I've had cocoa mix, cookie mix, ... forget what else ... I know there is a website with recipes for these gifts, but I don't have it right now - we upgraded our computer this week, & I haven't uploaded my bookmarks yet. Have fun!

This isn't food related but the lady across the street makes these really cute bags and she doesn't sew at all.

She buys the denim/canvass bags at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Then she buys enough material that will wrap around the bag longwise with a some overlap. The material does not cover the whole bag, just mostly the middle with an inch or so of bag showing at the top or bottom. She uses wonder under to attach the material and turns under the raw edges. Then she takes two kinds of trim such as beads, furry stuff, etc. to go around the top part of the bags. She's made some really cute ones.

The gifts in a jar...I know there are muffin, tea, cookie and soup mix recipes available for the jars.

Good luck!
