Need Computer Wiz's

This is a really strange problem that has just started and I need some advice. I have cable, and use AOL/IE/Comcast. Recently everytime I take a link from one board to another and them close that window I get thrown offline. I can get right back on, but its making me crazy!!
It happens regardless which ISP Im on ie, IE,AOL,Comcast!!
I've reloaded AOL(after uninstalling the old one), ran virus check,dumped temporary internet files,dumped cookies, Still nothing. Before I call cable , any ideas??? My last thought is its a modem going bad???

First question I have is if you have Comcast cable, why are you also running AOL??

Hi Dan!! Yeah I know AOL is awful!, But I like the navigation tools it has . But I think I just answered my own question! I called Comcast and they checked the line and they said its very "noisy". There coming out tomorrow to install a filter to decrease the noise. According to them its a common problem. If anyone else wants to know how to tell if this is a problem they asked me if I get lines or snow on T.V. channels 2 and 4 intermittently(which I do!). That is an indicator of a "noisy" line. Its just enough of an interruption in the signal to throw you offline.Just an FYI, their customer service has gotten MUCH better!!

Hopefully this will correct it.
