We went for DD's 4th birthday in May and I had my heart set on CRT. I didn't get it either. I tried for cancellations, but no luck. Instead, I did dinner in the castle and breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. The breakfast was wonderful. The table was decorated with confetti and there was an autographed placemat and tiara for my DD. Our server brought out a cupcake with a candle just as Alice in Wonderland was coming by. Alice sang "happy birthday." It was such a great moment. Dinner in the castle worked out well. The table was decorated again and our server brought another cupcake and sang. When we were leaving, Aurora and Prince Phillip were in the lobby on their thrones, so DD got to visit with them. Keep trying for CRT, but there are many other wonderful options for a birthday. Even without CRT, what could be better for a kid than a birthday at WDW?
