I've had pain in my upper back/shoulder blade are for about 3 or 4 days. It doesn't feel like a muscle strain and aleve hasn't helped. It sorta feels like something in the area needs to pop. Should I see a chiropractor? Will they be able to do something to help me immediately or would they need to take xrays and then have me come back to try something? I'm pretty desperate at this point.

Some will do xrays and an adjustment during the same visit, others may not if they don't have the ability to process the xrays.
Mine did read them and adjust at the same time.

Did you try alternating heat 20 minutes nothing for 20 and ice for 20?
