My nephew is a castmember at Disney World. I use his room discount about once a year, and just called to make a reservation. I was told that they have changed the method - now reservations must be made through the castmember "portal". What is this? Is there a way I can get there? I would ask my nephew, but he is in Mexico until the end of the month, and I was hoping to book before then. I have his PA number and information, which I am hoping will get me into the portal. I know I will still need him to check me into my resort, so privately giving me this information won't help me unless my nephew checks us in... PLEASE email me at Shannon@weddingsaddressed.com

Thanks ever so much!! :earsgirl:

Unless you know his user name and password there is no way to access the CM portal.

My sister is a CM. I know that she logs into the portal to get her schedule. She is currently working. I will ask her tomorrow if there is a way for you to do this.

They have a new phone number to call that we used when booking our June stay (DD is CM at MK). You will need his CM ID (4 digits) to make the reservation, at least that's how it was as late as May, when we needed to make some adjustments to our ressies.

As far as I know, all cast reservations must be done through "My Disney Team" formerly and otherwise known as the "Cast Portal." Only the CM can do this. They must log in, and go to the Disney Difference tab. From there, there will be a link to on-line room booking.

I agree. My daughter is a CM and had to make ours through Disney Team. You have to know the user id and password to log in. Also, the reservations don't show up on the "regular" online reservations that you can check at the disney website.

This is probably the old way you are talking about, but have you called 1407 WDW CAST? These are the only people who would handle my reservation. It's been a few months since I called though.

Good Luck, I hope you get a good rate. We used a friends discount (it was titled other guest bedroom on our ressie) and stayed 9 nights at a mod for $89 a night this month. We were thrilled!

You mentioned that you use your nephew's once a year. Do you know how often the cm's are allowed to allow others to use their room discount??
