Need car rental advice

We are going to be staying in Anaheim but we'll take a couple of day trips during our week. We have supershuttle reservations to get from the airport to the hotel because we didn't need a car all week. But we will need it for a day or two in the middle. I heard there is a car rental place in DTD. Is that right? Which company is it? Do we need to make reservations in advance? We will be there the second week of July so I assume a fairly busy season. Any idea how much it would cost for a day? Any other advice? Thanks!

Alamo has an office on the west end of DTD, facing the DLH Dreams tower. You can go into Google maps and enter "Anaheim car rental" and find several locations nearby, but of course this location is closest. There's one (Hertz/Enterprise) next to the Gardenwalk Cheesecake factory, for instance.

Thanks. I never rent cars. Do we need to reserve it in advance or can we just stop by the office once we're in Anaheim? Is it best to check these things on priceline and those types of websites? Sorry I'm clueless.

I'd reserve one now if you want one for specific days or need a certain sized vehicle. I got a great deal from Dollar for our trip recently. We rented ours at LAX Monday-Sunday for $162 with taxes! Full size car. I ended up cancelling my reservation I made last fall and rebooked the week before we left because the prices dropped. Definately shop around! And if you have your own GPS, take it. You can rent one, but it's just as easy to take your own. I think there's a Dollar rental place on Harbor Blvd. in a little strip mall on the corner of Katella (or close to that).
