This will be out 1st Disney trip with our kids and I want a new camera (point and shoot kind) that will take GREAT, clear pictures. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We also plan to take the digital camera and video camera but I like having a regular camera as well.

THANKS!

Janet

I have a Minolta Freedom (not sure of the ## now) that I got for Christmas; it takes really good pics, easy to use, small and light. I got it after using my GMIL's camera for a week, we have the same one now. It has a good, long zoom on it also, which is something I use.

Our Kodak easy share digital is better by far (pic quality AND ease of use) than any other camera on our family camera shelf.
The price of them has come down to the "very affordable" range in the past few months too.
If I could only take one with me it would be that one.

Don't know if this helps, but I have found that with 35mm cameras the most important thing is the type of film. I only use Kodak HD 400 now. It is more expensive, but I have always had terrific photos. Our camera is a Canon Sure Shot and it was cheap (under $100) in fact I don't think it was more than $60. Canon is a good brand for cameras.
We just bought a new digital and I don't plan on brining our 35mm. Just curious as to why you want to bring one along with the digital and camcorder??

We just bought the Kodak Easy Share today - and am I impressed. It came with the dock/printer. I definetly will be taking tons of pix.

for 35 mm that takes great pics and is easy to use, you can't beat an Olympus Stylus. They run up there in price but I just got one pretty cheap on Ebay. It normally runs about $300 for the 140 zoom and I got it for $58 with S&H. I have a 70mm zoom a few years old and noone can believe the pics are from a point and shoot.

I can completely understand why you would take all 3 cameras I plan on doing the same, nothing beats a camera with real film and negatives you can touch. I don't care how fancy the digital camera gets, I'll never get rid of my film cameras.

We took our trusty adv canon elph in addition to DH's new panasonic digital.

The digital is so great because you can see right away "if you got it"

We took our 14 rolls of film to the gift shop at the YC because I didn't want to take undeveloped film thru the xray at airport - just in case

And it all came back blank!!!!!

Camera had a shutter/internal lens cap malfunction that we couldn't tell because the viewfinder still looked fine

I was heartbroken at the loss of our photos - but happy we had some on our digital camera
