Howdy folks!

Well, just scored an AP rate for a cabin for our trip 01/18/03 to 01/26/03. I am very very excited, but need your best advice on which loop/location to request. We will have a rental, so will be driving most places, but will love to take the boat over to the MK. (Memories of camping there when I was in High School with my parents have come FLOODING back!)

Suggestions and help, please and thank you so very much.

Debbie

I haven't been there yet, but am going the week after you. I have been told the 2500 loop is good. It is next to the pool/laundry, and there is a bus stop at the end of it. I requested it when I made my reservations, and the CM looked over the map and said that did look like a good spot.
Hope I get it! :hyper:
Have fun breaking the place in for us!

Another good loop is 2100. It backs up to 1100 and there's a path to that comfort station and laundry. And DD (then 18) and I were able to easily walk to the Meadows Trading post. 2500, 2600 and 2100 are each close to bus stops. The loops are long so ask to be placed not too far from the bus stop when you arrive, or if you fax the room assigner.

Take some time to figure out the transportation system. That will help a lot. We usually drive to other parks, but love the bus to Pioneer Hall (petting zoo, Trails End, barn, rockers on the porch, playground) and boat to MK. You can also take a boat to the Contemporary, and then monorail to MK or transfer to get to Epcot.

Be sure to bring salt and pepper, coffee and filters, and cups for the bathroom.

Well, I phoned CRO this morning, because I had a question about my confirmation slip, and spoke to a delightful CM named 'Ace', makes me smile just thinking of it. He picked up literally seconds after the phone started ringing, and was a delight.

I requested loop 2100 or 2500, and assured him, that yes, I did know that these were only *requests* and not guaranteed in any way shape or form. (but a girl can hope, can't she? :hyper: ).

I have been reading this board voraciously since I booked our cabin, and will make a full report when we get back. You have all been so helpful.

I wonder if that is the same Ace I spoke with last year? I remember the name because my DH's dad called him that. He really was wonderful to talk to. We got disconnected and he CALLED ME BACK! I emailed (through the website) about him, and got a call from someone about it. I hope it was helpful to him. :)

Anyway, on topic, we stayed in 2600, about 1/3 of the way down one side. It was a short walk to the bus stop, which is across the road from the small pool. It was convenient for that, but not walkable to anything else.

I hope you have a wonderful trip!

We stayed in the 2300 loop in August. I thought it was a great location as we were close to the bus loop (1 minute from our cabin), 5 minute walk to one pool and about 10 minute walk to the other pool and the trading post so I would definitely recommend the 2300 loop. We would usually catch the bus to the marina and take the ferry to the MK or to the monorail to get to EPCOT or the Transportation center. We never wiated more than 10-15 minutes for a bus at any time of the day. For the other parks, we drove and that was also very convenient although I think the signs could be a bit more clear as to where you have to go.
