Ok, we are doing the gold plan where meals are included. I have tons of ideas of restaraunts I would like to eat at for lunch and dinner but only a few for breakfast.
So far for breakfast....
CRT
Crystal Palace
Kona Cafe

Here are our criteria.
We do not want counter service.
We prefer no more character meals
Ease of transportation from as movies....and then from the breakfast to the parks.

ok. I need to decide on 3 more breakfasts. I know if anyone can help you guys can...

We are not big on big breakfasts.

I know you said you'd prefer to not have anymore character meals, but I feel this one is worth mentioning anyway:

1900 Park Faire... the buffet is OUTSTANDING! The made to order omelettes are the best. The service was fantastic and the characters were the best of any!

It is the ONE breakfast we try to go to... usually on a day when were are doing the parks in the afternoon, or taking a break from the parks, altogether.

If you are planning on heading to the MK, you might want to stop and try the breakfast at Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary. We love this breakfast and eat here a few times each vacation. The food has always been great and the service has been fast and friendly. It is a sit down, non-character breakfast and it is located next to Chef Mickey's. After you finish eating, you can walk to the MK in under ten minutes. Here is a link to the menu from Deb's page.

I've heard wonderful things about the breakfast buffet at Boma. The our favorites are Chracters buffets, or CRT.

The buffet at Maya Grill at CSR is wonderful with items such as breakfast burritos.

We love to have breakfast at Boatwright's at POR.

Boma is a unique experience and you can get made to order omelettes.

We are looking forward to trying Spoodles on the Boardwalk for breakfast after reading several glowing reviews.

If "no counter service" still allows a buffet, then either Maya grill or Boma are very nice.
Boatwright's is a fine table service spot, while the Yacht Club galley has both table service and a modest buffet.

I can't say enough good thinks about the breakfast at Spoodles. Their breakfast pizza/flatbread is SOOOO good! My son and I had breakfast there several times last June and we are looking forward to eating there again this June. The food and coffee are really very good. The atmosphere is nice and it is so quiet in the morning. It's a nice way to start the day and then it's a quick walk or boat trip to Epcot. The Studios is a longer walk or boat ride. After all that wonderful breakfast food a walk is in order!!!!!
Enjoy!:Pinkbounc

Thanks everyone so far. Keep the ideas coming.

Just a few notes...It is not that we don't like character breakfasts, it is just we already have 2 booked and one character dinner.

Also.....the reason ,I said no counterservice was because since we are on the gold plan, we want to make good use of our meals.
Buffets are definitely a possiblity, My bf loves buffets.

You guys are great!! I forget things like Spoodles is so close to Epcot and MGM

Boatwrights also looks good .....but will it be a hassle to get to in the morning from AS movies???

dansyr,

At 1900 Park Faire, Mary Poppins is always there, and other characters can include:
Alice in Wonderland
Bert
Mad Hatter
Eeyore
Pooh
Tigger
and I have heard that Peter Pan has been known to show up on occasion!

Usually there are 1 or 2 characters in the lobby to greet the kids and there are 3 or 4 making the rounds inside.

When we went Mary and Bert were in the lobby, and Alice, Pooh and Tigger were inside. We saw alot of them, and they were really great with the kids!

The Grand Floridian Cafe serves breakfast. It's a very pretty restaurant and we always enjoy lunch there but haven't had breakfast. The menu looks good though. A variety of traditional choices. Then hop back on the monorail and zip off to the Magic Kingdom.
