It is expensive but no more so that V & A. Its $125 per person + $100 for the butler. Butler meets you in lobby of GF and has a long stemmed red rose for the ladies. Mine survived return journey to UK and a further week. The table in on a third floor balcony - concierge level and is beautifully set out with flowers, rose petals and if it is a special celebration they will put up a banner. The menus are personalized with your names - if you want something not on the menu they will do their best to supply it. If the weather is wet or cold the venue is moved to an enclosed area on the fifth floor. From the balcony you can see the electric light water pageant and the fireworks at MK - can't see everything but a lot of it. It is a maximum of 4 people and only one booking per evening.
Although it is not cheap for me it is worth every cent. Both times our butler has been Jack who is fabulous and really goes out of his way to make your evening special. Because it's only your party you set the tone and can be as formal or informal as you like.
If you call the GF private dining number and ask to speak to Pat Anderson regarding the intimate dining experience they will put you through. Pat is a delight to deal with and on our last visit organised a surprise for us as she knew we were celebrating visiting all lower 48 states - took us 20 years but what a blast!
If you have any dietary needs she will sort that for you and she can organize a celebration cake if you want one.
The food is from the GF signature restaurants and of excellent quality and choice. Included in the price are amuse bouche, a tasting experience of cheese or meat - we had one of each, a further 3 courses - the deserts are both fantastic and enormous.
Alcohol is extra.
Treat your wife she will be very appreciative I'm sure. My hubby is not mean with money but does like to waste and it was his idea to go again this trip so it must be good!!
