Need Biergarten Reviews

I booked the Candlelight Processional Package at Biergarten. We've never eaten there, but two of my sons are picky eaters. What do you think about the food in general, and what might interest them? TIA!

Hi - Biergarten is one of our favorites - nice variety of food, great theming and atmosphere. My boys love it there (and my younger one is picky too). There is a lot to choose from - pretzel bread is yummy, there are a variety of sausages, baked chicken, red potatoes, I think there was mac&cheese - those are what stick out in my mind that my son liked but there was lots more to choose from as well.

The food, service and atmosphere are fantastic. Decorated nicely during holidays, so it makes a great place for CP dinner package. The show is a bonus and very good.

Food is good old fashioned comfort food, potatoes, sausage, chicken, pork.
Great beers to go with them. Good breads and desserts. Can't ask for anything more.

Has always been one of our favorites. We have taken pickey eaters with us, and they loved it. We have talked to people who have never experienced german food (table mates while eating there), they thought is was fantastic and wanted to bring other family members back to try it.

We thought is was great! There is a lot of variety and I do believe I saw chicken nuggets, and mac and cheese available. However I did read on here that WDW was taking away the Mac and cheese at ALL places.

I've been to Biergarten 3 times now. The food is good, not great but good. I always find something to eat that I like. I'm not a picky eater, it's just that German food is not my favorite. My DH loves it though, he is a big sausage and beer kind of guy, which is why we keep going back. We have always had a nice family to sit with, which makes the shared seating go well. I can imagine that who you sit with could make or break the experience.

We enjoy Biergarten. It is fun for the whole family and everyone finds things they like to eat. We usually do lunch here, but have always wanted to try it for dinner too. The show is great and it a great place to get out of the heat or just off your feet.

I'll go out on a limb and admit that Biergarten disappointed our family. The food was no better than cafeteria fare, the restaurant was loud, even without the band playing, and I'm not a fan of sitting with strangers. That being said, our 8 year old loved the whole experience! She danced her little heart out, ate more food that anywhere else in the World, and she is still toasting with, "Ticky tacky..." 10 months later.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the world. Very authentic german food. Good variety. Your kids should find something they will eat but they will definitely enjoy the atmosphere with the band and all.

I love it. The food is great, desserts are great, beer is great, great atmosphere. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is sitting with other families but it's usually not that bad.

And by the way, I don't understand people who consider this food no better than cafeteria fare? That just blows my mind.

We tried it a few weeks ago & while the atmosphere was great, the food was okay but nothing special. I was disappointed with the limited selection, especially the dessert buffet. The beer is great too!

It is definitely not authentic German food but rather Americanized food 'influenced' by German food, with a few authentic items tossed in. Macaroni and cheese is not Allgäuer Kässpätzle; chicken breaded and pan fried is not Wiener Schnitzel; shortbread dough covered in jam is not Linzer Torte. The 'pretzel bread' is a passable example of Laugengebäck, however the Brezel served in Sommerfest have in the past year been stale.

The tomato salad, cucumber salad, spelt salad are all quite good and reasonable facsimiles.

The CMs and I often try and identify what the food is to be honest, as some of it is a far cry from anything German. But the variety and taste are quite good, there is a good selection for vegetarians, and it is no worse than many of the other World Showcase offerings.

I was pleasantly surprised. This was DH's pick, and I'm a vegetarian. He loved it, I loved it, and both DDs loved it (food and the dancing). The food was good, and the atmosphere is festive. We were seated with two older couples, and we had some initial pleasantries and some conversation towards the end about where they were staying/from, etc. We really didn't mind being seated with other people (although it is good to know that you will be!).
