Need bathing suit help!

Lands End swimsuit sizes do run true I find. As for returns, I'm always stuck paying the shipping both ways if I want to return something. Plus being in another country I have to pay import duty as well!

I just found out that I am expecting and don't want to go into a mathernity suit just yet, but I teach swimming lessons, so I have no choice. But what I do is go to the guys department and buy a pair of swim trunks that I like and just throw in a top. It works great. Also I don't have to worry about the suit 'riding up'. It also costs a lot less. I just try and buy tops that are one color.

If you are in the US and near a Sears store, you may be able to take your returns there. Not sure though, so call first.

Not near ANY stores...we live in the Caribbean and depend on shopping on-line. I envy all of you when I read posts about the great sales etc you guys can get to! Am definetly planning a shopping day when in Orlando!

LandsEnd makes a few suits that have a SHELF bra.. none of those giant cup thingys that make you look like Dolly Parton when you come out of the water, just a stretchy little liner to hold everything in place. Go online and look at them ALL... then read carefully and you'll see the different bra types.. I am a chunk since having 2 kids and am very modest. The two suits I like best are both 2-piece but the top is long and my belly has yet to escape. One has a skirt bottom and one has shorts. The one with the skirt has the shelf bra, not the cups. Some of their suits even come in both bra styles.

Also, for the Carribean poster regarding returns, they don't advertise it but if you return an item because it didn't fit, you are entitled to the next order free of shipping charges. Just let them know you had to do a return and that this is a re-order. They will ask you for the number of the previous order; if you don't have it they will find it in the computer for you. Tehn they will send your enw order without assessing shipping charges. This way you save on SOME of the shipping if it takes you a few tries to get an item that fits.

I thank goodness for LandsEnd. They are truly one of the only remaining companies that makes reasonable clothes (non-Britney Spears-prostitute stuff) for girls.

Also, check the Overstocks page. I got a GREAT suit for $19.50.

Wow! I'm going to do that the next time something doesn't fit properly. LE was fantastic when the fastener on my 2 pc broke - Thank G it happened BEFORE we were at the beach LOL - they offered to replace the top but when I explained the shipping back would cost too much the sent me 2 new clasps. I just sewed it in myself.

Here's my vote for Land's End! Also here's my secret - try buying the tankini top from Land's End in a basic color - then go to Walmart and buy a coordinating print bottom - or two - or three for real cheap!

i usually go to sears to get swim suits from lands end, but macy's also has excellent swim-wear, i am 15 and i HATE going swinsuit shopping because of the way most of the suits are, but sears and macys are superb!!! i hope this is helpful!

You are lucky to live in Easton PA, the crayon capital of the world... I am a Washington, NJ girl and graduated from Lafayette College in 1986. My Mom and Dad live in Forks Township. The PBurg Sears is a nice big one. My local Sears is smaller and has very little LandsEnd!

For those of you who love Land's End, but don't like the prices, try their overstocks page. I just can't say enough about it! I typically get my kids suits on their for about $15, and adult ones between $20 and $30. You just have to watch for the end of season, and plan ahead.

I buy enough Land's End stuff that we get a Christmas card from them!!

Overstocks is GREAT! I always get Erin a suit at the end of the summer, in the next size, for the next year. Last fall I got her a tankini she can start to use now, for about $12. They can't be beat for price and quality.
