Hi, everyone!

I need some help from the Disney experts :) My ADRs for our March 2013 trip are set and I am very happy with my selections. Here is what I picked:

O'Hana (dinner at 8:15 first night & hopefully we can watch Wishes from there)
Teppan Edo (dinner)
Mama Melrose (lunch - Fantasmic package)
Sci-Fi Diner (dinner)
T-Rex (dinner)
Hoop-De-Doo Revue

Since HDR counts for 2 credits, that means that we have 7 credits worth of ADRs. We are staying for 5 nights, so we have 5 TS credits on the DP and will have to pay for 2 meals OOP. So my question is: which 2 meals should I plan to pay for OOP? I should note that our group will consist of me, DH, DD (10), DS (8) and DS (5). Thanks!!

I'd start collecting Swagbucks for a Landry's gift card to use at T-Rex! That's what we did to help offset our reservations from our TS credits. Essentially we'll be getting a free meal at Disney!

Oh wow! How do you do that?

You can sign up here: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/lovingeire Basically you get swagbucks for searching, like with google, redeeming coupons, taking their daily poll. There's a lot of stuff on there I don't do, but I saved up almost 6,000 in under 6 months for a $50 Landry's gift card by searching online (I installed their toolbar & use it instead of google or yahoo), printing and redeeming coupons, taking the daily poll almost every day and doing the NOSO almost every day. I've been using it for a while and got Amazon gift cards last year, but this year they added Landry's and I was so excited! HTH!

And I should mention they have different denominations for more or less swagbucks. I think there's a $100 one and maybe a $25. We love Landry's the restaurant so we have the Landry's select club, which cost us $25 outright, but you get a $25 credit for joining (so they pay you back) and $25 for your birthday. Mine just happens to be in Dec. when we're going to Disney!:woohoo:

Here's my take. I'd pay for Hoop Dee Doo out of pocket because it includes tax and gratuity. So overall it may come out to be your best bet, rather than pay for 2 meals OOP plus tax and tips.

And we're going in march, which is my birthday month...so that might work out great for me too! And hopefully you will get a referral bonus :)))

I would love & appreciate a referral bonus! That's another way to get points! I even got my husband to search with it when I gave him e goal of a free meal at Disney. Just logged into my account and installed the toolbar on his computer & he was good to go!

We've done this ^^^ :thumbsup2

We used the same logic/approach when we had free dining this past January, and the math made the most sense for us to pay OOP for HDD. Build a spreadsheet, price out your meals if they were all OOP, and then determine how best to use your credits from there. Have fun!
