Need an expert..Mt. Everest @ AK?

Hi.........
I have searched, and searched....I have heard that the new ride at Animal Kindom ( Mt. Everest) is now open....then I heard it is a soft open?
We are planning our trip...we don't want to do Animla Kingdom this year if the new ride is not open...we'll do another park...
We will be down 3/24/2006 for 7 nights.....
Does anyone know if the ride will be open, and open for sure!!??

We were in AK on Saturday, Feb. 18 and my DS's rode this in the morning, probably around 10:30. It was open everyday while we were there.

There is no guarantee that it will be open until April. Soft opening means that they will be running it off and on until the official opening so that they can tweek things. Most likely, it will be running at least part of the time that you are there. But, there is really no way to predict when or how often that will be. The best thing is to just ask CMs once you get there to see if it is open from day to day.

We went on it Friday 17th February, first thing in the morning, however it was closed a few days earlier in the week.

Ask at guest services, they were able to tell me the hours it was scheduled to be open the next day.
