Need AKL/AKV Help!

Hi, all. I am sorry for all of you who have already answered my previous questions. I am new to DVC. I am also new to the AKL/AKV. We are planning to visit WDW next August, so my 11-month window opens in a few weeks. I am sooo confused about where to stay.

On one hand, we have enough points to stay 1-bedroom concierge since we rolled over our points until next year. We are interested in the sunrise safari because it just sounds so awesome.

One the other hand, we really want to experience the animals. I know that the concierge view does not give you the best animal viewing.

I am leaning toward splitting my stay between concierge and Kidani village. For those in the know, is this very inconvenient? Would you suggest it? Also, and importantly, do I need to call twice? For example, if I am staying concierge 8/15, 8/16, 8/17 - call Sept 15. Then if I am staying Kidani 8/17 through 8/20 - do I call again on Sept 17??

As you can see, I am a complete newbie, and I apologize. I hope to get all the kinks in my brain worked out soon.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

If you split a stay in to different room categories, yes you will have to call twice.

We are going to be doing a split stay between CL and Kidani Village this Sept. We are doing the CL stay so we can do the Sunrise Safari.

For CL, not really. There are only 5 2-bedroom lockoffs. Two face the pool and the other three face the Sunset Savanna. All CL rooms are on the 6th floor at Jambo House.

For Kidani Village you could request a low floor if you want to be closer to the animals. Kidani Village rooms will be on the 2nd to 5th floors. The majority of the Savanna View rooms face the Sunset Savanna. There is a small portion that face the Pembe Savanna where the Okai are located. The Pembe Savanna rooms will also be the a long hike from the lobby.
