I just booked a 5-night trip using the free dining promotion and now I am searching for airfare.

I rarely pay more than $79 each way from the Boston area to Orlando. Currently SWA has the least expensive non-stop flights for $220/rt. This sounds reasonable except I would think travel to Florida at this time of year would be less expensive. Should I book now or hold out for a special? :confused3

I dont know who flies out of Boston, did the WDWTravel co offer you the Airtran deal?

I think people need to accept the idea that they are going to be paying more for their next ticket than they have paid in the past. I'd cross my fingers and hope for something closer to what you've paid in the past, but I wouldn't count on it.

Personally, given that the $220 is on Southwest, I'd go ahead and book it knowing that Southwest is good about making changes if they lower the price between now and then.

ITA with all of this.

This would seem to be true except there still seems to be lots of unbelievable deals out there. I paid $99 each way to go to the Virgin Islands during February school vaction this year - way less than I have ever paid in the past. My biggest problem this time seems to be that I only have a few months to search. I usually have more time to wait for sales.

A co-worker just paid $49 each way Boston to Seattle! I have *never* seen a fare that low to Seattle!

I am going to WDW on 9/28 to 10/4. I can fly out of Boston, Hartford or Providence.

I've never paid over $200 for a RT ticket.

I used to fly "Song" but they are no longer, Delta has flights out of Boston for about $225...

Jet Blue has some out of Boston for about $99 each way...

I am going to hold out for a short time and watch the different airlines. Last year my sister and I bought tickets in August for a mid-September trip and we paid $116 RT with Southwest from Hartford to MCO.

If I find something around $200 or less I will book and hope for a credit if the flights go down, but so far Southwest does not have alot available for me...

I'm feeling optimistic though!!

Don't forget to keep checking, even after you book. I just saved another $45 with JetBlue on what I already thought was a pretty good fare!!!! :)

I'm a travel agent here in the Boston area. Southwest does not fly out of Boston.

We usually fly JetBlue.. I got in on $89 each way. I just looked up your dates and I found:

Out of Boston
Air Tran Sept. 28th $119, Oct. 4 $99
Jet Blue...same exact price
Delta...same exact price

Southwest
Providence, RI $127, $94
Hartford, CT $137, $137
Manchester, NH $127. $94

I would absolutely book JetBlue.. Non-stop, leather seats, newer planes, and most importantly tv's at every seat..free....

Hope this was helpful!

depens on where you are located for our trip in august i had an outstanding ticket on delta and used it for one way to orlando ( this ticket was RT to tampa for march but only covered one way for august) and out outbound flight on south west for $94 per person into Manchester NH which brought our total to 608 for 3 adults. jet blue has some low fares out of logan for the month of august as well. just my 2 cents! happy travels

Thanks for all the advice.

I realize SWA doesn't fly out of Boston but Manchester, NH and Providence, RI are close so I have flown out of those airports as well. I prefer Logan, though.

I just booked Providence to Orlando on 8/29 for $44 one-way. A great savings for a family of 5! Now I have to watch for a return flight. Jet Blue has $119 MCO-BOS but I am going to hold out and watch for something better. I still have 3 months.

Anybody else watching for a Labor Day sale?
