:)I let my hair go natural and you know what? It decided it didn't want to stay the color of the hair dye!:rotfl:
So it's turning white or gray, can't make up it's mind. I also still have some dark brown. I'm mostly white by my face - hmmm, so is my Golden Retriever! I know they say dogs look like their owners, or vice versa, but really!:scared1:
So I used to use Clairol shampoo for color treated hair. Now that I'm not color treating it, I changed to Clairol Herbal Essences for dry hair because my hair tends to puff out after it's dry and look kind of too fluffy. No volumizing needed here.;) I really don't care for the scent and it just does an okay job of taming the bushiness.
What kind of shampoo/conditioner is good for white or gray hair? Not something that costs $20 a bottle, but something that can be found easily.:lovestruc

I have really wild hair and I have been using the Herbal Essences in the pink bottles. It is called Dangerously Straight. After I shampoo and condition I towel dry and then rub a little dab of conditioner into my ends and leave it. Hope this helps. It is on sale in our local Krogers as for less than $3.00 a bottle this week. So if you had a coupon that they would double you could get it really cheap. I love cheap.:yay:

My mom uses the Pantene shampoos for boosting color or whatever it's called lol. She doesn't color her hair, but supposedly it spiffs up the color and it's not so gray. Suave also makes shampoo like this that's MUCH cheaper, and I've found that Suave really does work as well as more expensive stuff.

Try Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo (found at Sally Beauty supplies or online for about $6). I have some almost white highlights and it really brightens them up every time I use it. The shampoo is very purple and you let it sit on your head for a few minutes before you rinse it out. It's meant for gray/white hair and to prevent yellowing. Don't worry, your hair won't turn purple ;). I'm not sure if they make a conditioner as well.

I vote for the Clairol Shimmer Lights as well.
