This may belong on the Restaurant Board, but...

Originally we planned to take our annual Christmas trip to WDW 12/26-01/02/06 this year but rescheduled to accomodate a visit from my mom. We are now going 12/29-01/02/06. We have juggled our plans so that we will be at Animal Kingdom on 12/31 and MGM on 01/01 so that we will avoid MGM and Epcot on 12/31. We were able to get a FDP at Hollywood and Vine for 5:30 on 01/01 and have a ADR at 50's Prime Time for 11:30. We are not going to be able to do Donald's Breakfastasaurus on 12/31. Our kids are 5 & 8 yrs. old and we would like to get one character meal with Mickey in but the earliest we could get Mickey's Garden Grill on 12/30 would have been 8:00 PM and that is just too late so we have San Angle Inn at 6:00.

We drive down from Atlanta on 12/29 and will be too tired to go to one of the parks that day so we are splitting 12/30 between MK and Epcot to maximize the decoration viewing. I am afraid we won't be able to get Chef Mickey's at a reasonable time on 12/29. Any suggestions for a character meal with Mickey on this trip?

Is there any reason you're avoiding Epcot on the 31st? It tends to be the easiest park to get around in on holidays, since it's so large and absorbs crowds well.

It is one of the main parks on New Year's Eve and stays open 'til midnight with special fireworks during Illuminations. MGM is the other big NYE park for grown-ups. They are usually packed on New Year's Eve. Otherwise we would do one or the other since we are staying at the Swan and driving back to ATL on Monday, 1/2 and I have to be at work on 1/3; we would do AK on Sunday to make a short day of it before the drive home.

Ah, ok. We usually do NYE at Epcot, which is why I ask.

Have you tried getting a lunch PS for Garden Grill?
