Taking DD princess: for her 5th birthday and want to do as much character dining as possible. What do you think about:

* Once Upon a Time Breakfast-Cinderella's Royal Table
* The Crystal Palace
* Liberty Tree Tavern
* Cinderella's Royal Table

* Wonderland Tea Party at The Grand Floridian
* My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party at The Grand Floridian
* Cinderella's Gala Feast at The Grand Floridian
* The Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway's Akershus Restaurant

This is all I have found so far. Any information would be appreciated!!
Love this web site and all the great help!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you :love:

We won't be going to all of these!! I just want to get a feel for where would be the best places to go! :wave2:

DD4 and I have done all the ones you mentioned except for LTT. I'm guessing your DD is a Cinderella fan. Out of all the princess meals (aside from the tea party), we have found 1900 Park Fare to be the best in terms of both food, value, and character interaction. The breakfast is great as well and where we celebrated DD's birthday this year. It was really great. There was an autographed placemat and tiara waiting for her when we sat down. Alice in Wonderland sang "Happy Birthday" when our server brought out the cupcake. It was really a wonderful way to start off a birthday. The Perfectly Princess Tea Party was really fun. I thought it was well worth the expense. My DD had a good time at the Wonderland Tea Party, but it is a kid only event. If you have any questions about any of these, please feel free to let me know. Birthdays at WDW are great for little princesses!

We loved Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree (character dinner), Cinderella's Royal Table (dinner, not breakfast), and the Princess Storybook Breakfast. We didn't care for 1900 Park Fare dinner (Cinderella's Gala Feast) though, although the character interaction was pretty good, we didn't like much of the food.

Since you don't have any meals with Mickey, I'd suggest either Chef Mickey's or the Garden Grill if you have time for another meal...if not, your list already looks great! You can check out allearsnet.com for more info on the character meals and everything else at WDW if you haven't already!

Have you been to WDW? The reason I ask is that having too many character meals get old very fast, no matter how much you enjoy the characters. I'd caution against having too many. One breakfast and one dinner is plenty for a week long trip.

We ate at CRT breakfast, Crystal Palace 2x, LTT, Princess Storybook breakfast, and Chef MIckey's this past trip with DD5 and DS 3. They loved them all! Our favorites were CRT, Crystal Palace, and Chef Mickey's. We did 6 character meals in 5 days. We use these as our main meals and don't really eat others. They are all buffets so this works- especially a late lunch that can serve as lunch/dinner. We love character meals- especially with the children being so young and enjoying them so much. As they get older, the number of character meals we do will decrease greatly I'm sure. But, they are great meals plus characters. We love them! You have made great choices- I might consider Chef Mickey's too- a great meal that is a lot of fun! At 5 years old, I would do both CRT and PSB- we did this year. THough I was disappointed in PSB- DD5 was in absolute heaven at both breakfasts- princesses, what more do you need? Have a magical time!!! princess:

We loved Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's!!! Both had great character interaction and good food! We ate at CP for breakfast and CM for dinner. If your dd loves princesses, I'd say go for one of those meals.

Definitely do "My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party"...it was such an amazing experience!!! It was well worth the money, and something we will definitely do again!!!

We won't be doing all the character dining :laughing:
I just wanted to get a feel for which ones would be the best.
I have been to WDW one time on my honeymoon in 1993, wasn't the least bit interested in character dining. :D I have been to DLand more times than I can count. We love all things Disney.

A few more qustions?
:earboy2: Where is Chef Mickeys?
:wave: Do all of the Character Dining restaurants require reservations? How far in advance?
:flower2: Has anyone ordered a birthday cake to be made at any of the caracter restaurants? How was it?

Thanks again for all your great advise!

-Chef Mickey's is in the CR.

- Yes all Character meals offer PS's. I would get one for each one just in case. (CRT you need to reserve with a credit card) 90 days in advance. For CRT make sure you do this two minutes before 7 am on the day of your 90 day window!

-I can't answer your question about the b-day cakes :D

DH and I ate at Chef Mickey's on our honeymoon and it was not my favorite choice for a character breakfast. We were in a room with about 30 Japanese tourists, each of whom had a camera. We had very little interaction with the characters and the food was not very good.
In June Dsis and I took her son to the Crystal Palace for another character b-fast and loved it! The CP is beautiful, the service was excellent, and the food much, much better that CM. Also, DN got to meet all of the characters and had the opportunity for photos.

Wow, looks like you will be running from Character Meal to Character Meal. We did that once, and realized that we were stressing ourselves out, plus we really couldn't eat enough to do two big meals a day. Try to limit yourself to one a day. Your choices are great, but just know, it is EXTREMELY difficult to get that Cinderella's Royal Table PS, and Princess Storybook Breakfast is also becoming difficult to get, as well!

We love the Crystal Palace breakfast. The food and characters are both great, and it's such a pretty restaurant. We like to do an early (8:05) PS and then be ready for the park right when it opens. It's great to get into the park early for pictures at the castle, and then you can be one of the firsts on your favorite ride;)

Of those, I would do the Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner, and the My Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea. You may join her with that tea as opposed to the Alice In Wonderland Tea Party, where there are no adults allowed. My DD did do the one with Alice and LOVED it, but the other wasn't available at that time.

One you don't have listed is the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and friends. The food is great and we had terrific character interaction. Service was really good, as well! By and large, it is my favorite breakfast!

Thank you for the great help.

I guess I better get busy :Pinkbounc making PS bookings as we will be going March 9-13!!

Is there any character dining that does not require PS booking??
