I emailed Rev Jack Day several weeks ago & never heard back from him. I have video/photography booked (Stan & Randy woo hoo!!) So now its time to narrow down the officiant. I had seen someone's review of Rev Glynn Ferguson & from the tone of his website, I like his personality.

So right now I'm lookin at Rev Ferguson & Rev Knox. Anyone want to let me know their experiences? Pros/cons?

I had Rev. Jack Day and he was great!! He does tend to be difficult to get a hold of through email though, but we were always able to get through to him when we called. I think he's just not an email kind of person. I hope that helps and I hope you get an officiant that you love!

We had a bad experience with Rev. Knox, although I think we're in the minority here. One of the reasons we booked him was because so many brides had had great experiences with him, so maybe we just caught him on an off day? :confused3

Thanks guys! I think I have read more than one not so great review on Rev. Knox (but of course other good ones) and ones raving about Rev. Day. It just drives me crazy when people don't respond to my emails. I guess I'll break down & do it the old fashioned way & give him a call :thumbsup2

Any other opinions???

We weren't impressed with jack Day at all. He said he had either been too busy or had a senior moment when he was responding to our enquiry which really put us off him. The details we eventually got through were wrong, and so were our names.

Rev Kev Knox, on the other hand, was absolutely brilliant to deal with and superb on the wedding day. He made us feel like the only couple in the world, was totally sincere, friendly and focussed on our day and an absolute dream to deal with.

Rev. Randall Miller! We had him and LOVED him! Charismatic, personable, a really sweet and fun guy!

We had Rev. Jack, and although I do agree that he was pretty impossible to reach via email, he was fabulous! When we met him at the rehearsal, he greeted us with huge hugs like he'd known us for years. My nerves got the best of me right before the wedding and he did everything in his power to calm me down. He even stopped into the bridal suite before the ceremony to make sure that I was ok. The ceremony was so genuine that people thought that we had known him for years. He's not good at email, but he always returned all phone calls promptly and sent us numerous ceremony examples via fax. He even brought his wife to the wedding. I'm really glad we went with him!

Thanks Panda... We contacted him last year and sent out several wedding vows and we took certain vows and created our own version. We sent it back to him and on New Years Day he called to say he was doing some work and wanted to leave us a message saying he schduled us for our wedding day and that our vows were really meaningful. I thought that was sweet.

We're using Rev Jack Day too. He does take a while to respond to emails, but I think he may not really use email that much.

We sent back our form and he called us right away and was just the sweetest man and seemed sooooo excited for our wedding. I could really tell in just those 5 minutes that he was the right person for us.

Good luck!

DF and I booked Kirk Bane, who was on the list.
I'm surprised that it seems like not many of the ladies on this form chose him for their weddings. Maybe he doesn't do as many weddings.

He has been very nice and very easy to get in reach with so far which makes me feel calm about the upcoming wedding.

Not sure if it was my review you read, but Rev. Glynn Ferguson really was fantastic. He even rescued me from the car with his giant umbrella when it was pouring rain and no one wanted me to get wet to go inside for the ceremony! He really is an expert in the wedding "industry" and is SO SO laid back and really just wants to perform the ceremony that YOU want.

Rev. Knox gives me a weird feeling.. I met him at an Orlando bridal show back in September, and and he just rubbed me the wrong way, so to speak. He seemed more concerned with selling you his pre-marital counseling course than anything else.

I think it may have been yours I read. He sounded like someone I would like. And I know it sounds weird, but I think his personality would fit well with ours (at least from what I can tell online....) Its just so hard to pick someone you have never met to be involved in something so important in your life.
