Need advice

We want to do a split stay with GF-gv in July. I am thinking of doing it with POLY or the AKL. We have not stayed at the POLY or GF so I think that would be a good combo. but we only stayed at AKL once and really really liked it.
Are the GF and POLY so close together we should do AKL again?
My dd6 is into all things Hawaii, so think POLY, but then, I start to worry about the refurb. going on in their GCH.
Any advice??

I think Poly and GF are different enough in theme that it would not feel identical, even though they are located side by side. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these resorts.

Well, I adore all three!
However, I would probably pick either the GF or the Poly and split with AKL. I am doing this in July/August and cannot wait!
We have stayed at AKL 3 or 4 times and GF 7 or so... Poly just once and it was last month and I LOVED it!! Can't wait to go back!
I would recommend splitting one of them w/ AKL to "get away from it all" at the AKL.
My DD(8) liked the Poly but she LOVES GF ("loves the style", the decor, the fragrance of the flowers in the lobby ~she's something of a drama queen )
But the Polynesian is beautiful and amazing! The resorts do loom in one another's backgrounds, however. You might get your fill of the MK area during your stay (Did I really just say that?!).
I think AKL is the best value in all of Disney World and think it is the most relaxing, richly-themed resort of all. I absolutely adore it there!
