This year, for the first time, I will be driving to the airport and will need to sort out long stay parking. i have always got the train into gatwick so this is all new to me!

I am staying at a hotel the night before, hopefully either the Sofitel or Hilton. Is it best to book the parking separate or as a package with the hotel included?

Does anyone know any good deals out there?

Also, does anyone know if you can still book the Gatwick Hilton for a one night stay on Tesco club card vouchers? It used to say you could in the T's & C's (I have booked it before) but I checked the other day and no longer mentions it.

Thanks for any help! :thumbsup2

Not sure about tesco vouchers, but I convert mine to Airmiles/avios and it wasn't there when I booked by hotel for the night before. We got one very close though with transport to it but I was looking for the Hilton or Sofitel at first and neither were there.

We are going to use ECO PARKING meet and greet service. We've never used them before but they have good reviews on a number of forums and they were very reasonably priced.

Doing the meet and greet is so good especially on the way home. On previous trips we've had the parking company meet us outside the Hilton as it's easier then meeting outside the terminal.

you really do need to have a look at both options. This time it worked out cheaper to do room only for one night instead of the package at the Hilton because we are going for 3 weeks and the parking inclusive deals are only for 2 week hols and everything there after you have to pay the extra days parking fee! We got a 65% discount for the parking. It came through on an email from Gatwick Airport web site. Also just to let you know about the hilton, which ever room you do book they give you an option to upgrade to the next level, ie if you book a standard room, if there is availability you can upgrade to a delux one for about £15 or £20! Last year we booked the delux one and for £20 extra got the club level one and got breakfast in the garden room and access to the club room for free drinks and they lay on a buffet in the evening as well...well worth the money! We love staying here as this really is the start of our holiday and its just so nice tobe able to walk across the walkway and straight to departures the next morning.

Yes, you can definitely use the Tesco vouchers for one night at the Hilton Gatwick. It is the only Hilton where you can.

As far as parking goes, we usually use the Summer Special car park. For the last couple of years, we have not been able to book that one so have gone for the Airparks car park. It is quite a way away but the shuttles were fast and regular and it was very reasonably priced.

Just booked the Hilton on club card vouchers today :thumbsup2

We do that and book car parking seperate - booked the official airport meet & greet with car clean this time with a discount from an email they sent me :goodvibes

Check holiday extras for parking.
