I couldn't get the dates I wanted in March, but remembered somebody said if you add a day or two you might find availibilty. Sure enough I added two days, and availibility opened up. So now if I call Disney to cancel the extra two days are they gonna tell me I can't?

You should have no trouble canceling the days you don't want.

Now lemme ask you a dumb question. Why does this work? I couldn't get Wed-Monday, but they let me have Wed-Wed? Obviously the spot was open, but I couldn't have it unless I booked more days!

Not sure about the availability thing, but I do know that they will refund your days in full if you choose to cancel them. My girlfriend and I left our campsite 2 days early. We received a complete refund with only one day's notice. It was far better than the "no refund" policy of the campground we stayed at in Lake George, NY.

I would also like to know why it is possible to get more days than you need, but you can't get certain days. Do they have certain days blocked into bundles? Can't they just book the days as people need them?

Just a guess.....perhaps its because there are alot of people that come just for long weekends so that tends to fill up first . Then when someone wants to come for 6+ days nothing is available even though sites remain empty once the weekenders leave.:confused3 Maybe this is their way of filling a campsite for the entire week?
