I would like to buy a lot of disney pins off ebay, and there is a HUGE selection. Can you all give my any advice???? Thanks!

My advice would be to to to the thread called
"Lets help the new traders avoid cheap pins" and start there. :)

OT - emmocakeysari, I noticed that it says you are located in Maryland. What part of Maryland? Just curious if you had ever attended one of our local pin meets at our Disney Pin Gallery in Rockville, Maryland.

Personally I like to buy lots of pins that show the actual pins you will get. Since all the cuties have come out, I am lery that I will get a grab bag with 20 little cuties. I try to Buy it now, if they are set at a reasonable price, this way you do not get sucked into over paying. I just purchased 50 pins(all CM pins for 126 plus 7 shipping-2.66 is very good for CM's imo). There were many pins I wanted in that lot. Also I only buy pins that I would want to find on a cm's laynard...although I get some girly pins, but I only have boys-they are easier to trade away then(with girls you could do the oppisite). Good Luck...look for someone with 99-100 positive reviews and a high count-and please always use Pay Pal so you have some recourse. Pay Pal has also added a new insurance so that might be helpful too.

i wish I had seen this post before I bought on ebay. I bought a pin lot of 50 pins for 1.60 a pin & 5.00 s&h.
I am not thrilled with the pins, but I only wanted them for trading. most of these are euro pins. I am not leaving my feedback until I get home & see how the trading was with them. The seller has 100% +++ feed back & said these were "official disney trading pins". I hope she is right. 95% were pins I would not want.

Eurodisney pins are fine for trading in WDW up to now. i have never heard of anyone having problems with them. You are much more likely to have difficulties with Sedesma or Propins. They were official pins before Disney started pin trading but they fulfill the criteria for trading. They are just unattractive.

I don't see the EuroDisney pins are so bad. But they are brought in by the bag fulls and just saturate the cast lanyards (as do the cutie pins). A few can be unique. But when you see one, you can bet you will be seeing it repeatedly.
As someone stated, buy what you would not mind trading form a lanyard yourself, or think someone else may be interested in. (Just because I am not a princess collector doesn't mean there are not many who are.)
As a general rule of thumb, you will get what you pay for when buying from Ebay sellers.
My understanding was some time ago DLPR stopped trading the EuroDisney pins. (I don't know if this is still the case.) That is why they saturate the market here. They can't be traded in the Paris parks.
