Need advice re: CG dress code

I understand the terms of the dress code. I just wanted to get some opinions. This also goes for a different dinner at Artist's Point.

I would weat khaki shorts with a collard polo tucked in with belt and birkenstocks (not the flip-flop kind; the kind with a backstrap). I know this outfit DOES comply with the dress code, but I still don't want to look underdressed.

I know I've been in the past and seen people dressed with shorts, jeans, etc.

I'm wondering what you guys think of that outfit. I really don't want to have to pack long pants and shoes.

You will be just fine. In fact, you will be dressed better than some folks you'll probably see at both places.

Me too. Last trip we ate at the YSH and realized once we got there that we had on t-shirts and Tevas. They didn't even blink as they seated us and there were others dressed similarly. If I had remembered the dress code before arriving there there we would have changed.
