First I want to thank everyone for their advice to me about Sept vs. Christmas. I took your advice to heart and we changed our date to Nov 27 to Dec 3. Nov 27 is Thanksgiving day. It will be the first of our 3 days on land. Do they put up the Christmas decorations in WDW or on the ship right after Thanksgiving?

I need your advice again about another thing please. We are scheduled to fly in the day before (Nov 26 the day before Thanksgiving) so we don't have to spend one of our 3 days flying. So we booked a hotel room at the airport for that night and are supposed to get picked up on the 27th to go to WDW. Now I'm wondering....would it be worth the extra money to go right to our hotel at WDW ( The Polynesian) and pay for an extra night ( the 26th) and we would be there early to start on the 27th or to stay at the airport hotel and take the shuttle to WDW on the morning of the 27th ...our first day? Do they pick you up very early? I would really appreciate any advice you could give me, please. :)
And....has anyone stayed at the Polynesian? If so, any suggestions?

Thank you so very much!!!

Katie

We had originally planned to stay at the Hyatt also. After allot of thought and planning. We decided to change and just head straight to CBR. We dropped the first leg of ground transfers and picked up Happy Limo. We got a van from Happy Limo for the six of us one way for $68. I actually saved like $25 on transfers doing it this way.
We are planning on checking in and relaxing. Maybe taking the busses over to Downtown Disney for Dinner.
If you decide to do this and have the land/sea package, book the added hotel stay yourself. If we would have added the one night hotel stay to our package, they would have tacked on extra dollars for another night on our hopper passes. When you book the ressies, make sure they link it to your land/sea ressies, so you don't have to change rooms the following day.
I hope I didn't ramble and was some help!!!!
Happy Planning

We stayed at the Poly several years ago and we really enjoyed the Light Parade they do at night on the water, it was short but very cute. You can get a great view of it from the dock. Have a great trip!

The Poly is our family's favorite hotel. Not that we have yet stayed at all of them (I wish!) but we really like it. Convenient to transportation, the rooms all have day beds which makes it easy with a boy and a girl, and it is a little more laid back in atmosphere.
